To join in the broadcast simply click on the "Listen Live" link that is shown on the Home Page or at
the top of this page during a scheduled broadcast event.
You'll need Windows Media Player 9 or better to participate. Download it here for free:
Download Windows Media Player 10 for Windows XP
Download Windows Media Player 9 for Windows 98/ME/2000
Download Windows Media Player 9 for Mac OS X
If you're not sure whether you have it, just try listening to the Windows Media audio of the Cuzco dictation in the Heartstreams section of our website here:
Listen to Beloved Cuzco from February 6, 2005
If you click on the button for "Windows Media" and you start to hear the dictation after 10-40 seconds of delay,
then you're all set, and the live broadcasts will most likely work for you.
After a break in the broadcast, you'll need to click the "play" button in your Windows Media Player again or
click on the url link to reconnect to the broadcast. If this doesn't work,
and you get an error message such as this:
"Windows Media Player cannot connect to the server. The server name may be incorrect or the server is busy. Try again later."
-- it is most likely that the broadcast simply has not started up yet. Check
your schedule of events and make sure to take into account any time zone differences.
For Macintosh users, it appears to us that the media player works more reliably if you start it up before you click on an audio link.
The broadcasts from the Wellspring Institute in Emigrant have been known to drop out occasionally.
We're aware of the problem and we're sorry for the inconvenience to you.
We are working on solving this, but in the meantime, please be patient and
just plug back in by clicking on the "play" button 30-60 seconds after the
dropout to rejoin the broadcast.
